  • There are fuel and oil costs associated with running a large boat. The Fuel Recovery Fee (“FRF”) is a fluctuating percentage of total guide service charges. It is not a tax or surcharge. The FRF allows Beyond the Catch to recover the cost of rising and fluctuating fuel. The Fuel Recovery Fee rate is determined by obtaining the latest peak weekly Premium Reformulated Area price per gallon, as reported by the U.S. Department of Energy Information Administration index. Click link below to learn how to calculate current FRF as a percentage of your total trip cost.
As the cost of fuel increases during inflationary periods, the FRF, and therefore overall invoice costs, will increase. When fuel prices drop, the FRF, and therefore overall invoice costs, will decrease.
