Please bring your Great Lakes Fishing stamp, a Wisconsin fishing license, something to eat and drink, appropriate clothing for the weather, and a way to transport your fish home.

Cash or checks are preferred. Debit cards can be used but a 3% surcharge will be added to your total if card is used.

Trips may be rebooked at customers' choice, if there is available spots open for rebooking.

There are fuel and oil costs associated with running a large boat. The Fuel Recovery Fee (“FRF”) is a fluctuating percentage of total guide service charges. It is not a tax or surcharge. The FRF allows Beyond the Catch to recover the cost of rising and fluctuating fuel. The Fuel Recovery Fee rate is determined by obtaining the latest peak weekly Premium Reformulated Area price per gallon, as reported by the U.S. Department of Energy Information Administration index. As the cost of fuel increases during inflationary periods, the FRF, and therefore overall invoice costs, will increase. When fuel prices drop, the FRF, and therefore overall invoice costs, will decrease.

If conditions are not safe, WE WILL NOT GUIDE. Beyond the Catch's #1 goal is to keep everyone safe. We typically will run the SHERP tanks that are completely amphibious, land or water. In some scenarios, we will run snowmobiles or snow dog machines.

Once your deposit is made, there is no refund on the deposit for a canceled trip. Trips may be canceled at the guide's discretion for unforeseen circumstances or bad weather.

The age minimum for children is 4 years or older. NO PETS ALLOWED

A full-day fishing trip is 8 hours and a half-day fishing trip is 4 hours. Trips may end early per customers' request or if conditions become unfavorable at guide's discretion.

Lake Superior is home to a diverse collection of fish species. We will be primarily targeting lake trout, coho salmon, brown trout, splake and rainbow trout.

You are not required to bring any type of fishing gear or tackle everything is supplied, Your are more than welcome to bring your own fishing gear on the ice if you'd like, please contact me in regards before hand.

The daily limit per person on lake trout is 2, and 5 trout per person, only 1 being a rainbow trout (steelhead)

I recommend looking up the weather in Bayfield, WI a few days before your trip to prepare yourself for what the weather may bring. When starting early in the morning, I recommend pants, and a sweatshirt or a light jacket. There are restrooms available on the boat to change into lighter clothing if you choose. The cabin is heated and cooled for comfortability, but when you're reeling in a fish prepare for the elements outside.
